Faith said she came back. she's a friend of hers from home.

[Another Slayer. Someone who protected people from the bad things.]

did you see it all happen?

yeah.

[So had Faith. And Wanda.]

i distracted faith.

what do you mean? it wasn't

max it wasn't because of you.

[beyourzoomer]

it kind of was.

faith was helping her until i distracted her.

[Admittedly she'd been running from someone trying to kill her, but she could have fought back instead of running. That might have made a big difference in the outcome of things.]

max that's as much your fault as
as bob is mine.

[beyourzoomer]

[She wants to argue, to point out he had been possessed and she had just been a coward. But she gets what he's saying.]

can i come over?

[Either everyone gets to blame themselves or nobody does, Maxxie.]

mike's at fight club.

[He hopes that they're getting better around each other, but he also knows that she'll be more comfortable if it's just Will.]

[Pfff what is logic, William? Rude.]

[She feels a little better about the situation with Mike. Mostly she tries to stay out of his way because it seems like that'll be for the best for all of them. And she's spent the last few years living with someone who hates her guts. She'd rather not deal with that from anyone else if she can avoid it.]

[He'll be waiting for her at the castle, with the door already slightly ajar, waiting quietly and patiently on the couch. Therapist Will is in the house. Come give him your woes.]

[She hasn't seen Will in awhile. Too long, really. She makes her way to his house and pauses momentarily at the door, poking her head in and spotting him on the couch. She lifts her hand in a slight wave before stepping inside and closing the door behind her quietly.]

Hey. Thanks for... [She waves her hand around and tucks some hair behind her ear.]

[deadboywalking]

[Will lets out a soft sigh, putting aside his ever-present sketchbook and scooting over on the couch.]

You can come over whenever you want, y'know. We're friends.

[beyourzoomer]

[She sighs, too, slowly crossing the room to sit down beside him on the sofa, tugging one of her legs up and wrapping her arms around it.]

Yeah. I know.

[She's just not that good at this stuff when it comes down to it.]

What are you working on? [She nods at his sketchbook.]

[Will pauses a moment, then carefully nudges over one of the cushions. Here, Max, hug that.]

More monster manual stuff. There's a lot. It's kinda overwhelming, sometimes.

[beyourzoomer]

[She takes the non-verbal cue easily, grabbing hold of the cushion and wrapping her arms around it as she looks at the sketchbook that lie between them.]

Yeah, I'm sure there is. [She's heard quite a bit about monsters from other places. Vampires, demons, psycho clowns...]

Can I see it?

[deadboywalking]

Mmm-hm! [Will carefully flips the sketchbook to the first page -- this is the M's through the P's, so there are quite a few things for her to look at, including, of course, Pennywise the Clown.] See? We're getting more monster stuff with every new bunch of people, so I always have stuff to do.

[beyourzoomer]

[She looks at the pictures as he flips through but she stops him when he gets to Pennywise, her stomach knotting as she stares at the drawing.]

Jesus that's creepy.

[deadboywalking]

[He's gone with the toothy, wall-eyed version that Eddie and Beverly had described. Have a shivering nod.]

Yeah. The teeth are...kinda like the demogorgons, huh?

[beyourzoomer]

[It's a good drawing. Horrifying. She'd never been scared of clowns before, but...well things are a lot different now, aren't they?]

Yeah, kinda. [She holds her breath for a moment, thinking about what Eddie had told her about his future. That the thing she's looking at eventually kills him. There has to be a way to keep that from happening.]

How've you been lately?

[deadboywalking]

[Will looks down for a moment more, then slowly reaches out to close the sketchbook.]

Okay. I think a lot. About home.

...we're not here to talk about me, though.

[beyourzoomer]

[She thinks about home a lot, too. She tries to focus on the good parts - like meeting all of them, especially Lucas - and not the bad parts. But the bad parts are what tend to creep into her nightmares when she manages to sleep. She reminds herself that it could have been a lot worse. She hadn't been possessed.]

I thought we were just here to hang out for awhile.

[She's bad at this. Talking about stuff going on with her. She's too used to holding it all inside. It's second nature at this point.]

She's back. Faith's - friend.

[deadboywalking]

We can do both.

[Will nods, slowly, reaching out one foot to gently nudge her knee.]

Does she blame you? Her or Faith?

No.

[She looks down at his foot and nudges him back lightly with her knee.]

I didn't mean for it to happen. It just...I was out, before the dust storm started. I was caught in it. Everything happened so fast.
